MY FIRST LOVE

My first love...

~♥~~♥~~♥~

My first love? Mmmmm, that always puts tears in  my eyes...There isn't a day when I don't think about him and worry whether or not he's doing okay for himself in the world...

Do I remember my first love?

~♥~~♥~~♥~

You bet I do, like it was yesterday -- and it's been so many years, but I still remember what he looked like and how much I loved him...

We were passionate about everything - loving each other, fighting with each other, even passionate when we were trying to hurt each other...

My first love made my heart beat faster, gave me butterflies in my stomach and played the part of the bad girl, but he had a heart of gold underneath, which is what made me fall in love with him. It made me feel so wonderful...

Do you remember your first love?

Almost a silly question! Of course we do, intensely, passionately, maybe just a little sadly. Whether he's still by your side or just a memory that causes a sweet ache in your heart when you think about him,

After so many years, just thinking about our first loves seems to send our hearts a-flutter. What is it about our first loves that grips our imaginations, even five, ten, twenty years past the fact? Whatever the cause and whoever it was, the one we first loved seems to be a permanent part of our consciousness.

We can't forget him -- and who would want to?

Biggest and brightest full moon

Tonight's full moon

will be the biggest and brightest full moon of the year. It offers anyone with clear skies an opportunity to identify easy-to-see features on the moon.
*
This being the first full moon of 2010, it is also known as the wolf moon, a moniker dating back to Native American culture and the notion that hungry wolves howled at the full moon on cold winter nights.
*
As a bonus, Mars will be just to the left of the moon tonight. Look for the reddish, star-like object.
*
Finally, be sure to get out and see the full moon as it rises, right around sunset. Along the horizon, the moon tends to seem even bigger. This is just an illusion.

WHAT IS LOVE ??

What Is Love?

One must understand whether "what is love" can be a question which can be answered? Love cannot be a question. For, if it is a question then an answer should be there. If the answer is there, where is it? This question is ancient and an answer should have been found by now! If the answer has been found, the question would have disappeared

~♥~~♥~~♥~

Some say it's mysterious, magical, complex, difficult, imaginary, thought-provoking, inspirational, intuitional, joyous, immeasurable, ecstasy, and undefinable.
Perhaps

~♥~~♥~~♥~

Love itself is a universal experience. Yet, every individual occurrence - while perhaps bound by a common thread - seems absolutely unique. Love is what love is! To everyone it expresses itself differently

~♥~~♥~ ~♥~

Love is loving someone without expecting anything in return; no judgments, no restrictions; no limitations; no expectations!

~♥~~♥~ ~♥~

Love is waking up to find the object of your affection in the dream you were having asleep on your shoulder.
Could it be that Love is a story that can never be fully expressed?

LEONARD COHEN AGAIN IN BRATISLAVA

Leonard Cohen

legendary Canadian singer and songwriter,
will perform at Bratislava's Incheba Expo Arena
on Saturday, March 13th, 2010

One of the most fascinating and enigmatic - if not the most successful - singer, songwriters of the late '60s, Leonard Cohen has retained an audience across four decades of music-making interrupted by various digressions into personal and creative exploration, all of which have only added to the mystique surrounding him. Second only to Bob Dylan (and perhaps Paul Simon), he commands the attention of critics and younger musicians more firmly than any other musical figure from the 1960s who is still working at the outset of the 21st century, which is all the more remarkable an achievement for someone who didn't even aspire to a musical career until he was in his thirties.
Leonard Norman Cohen was born into a middle-class Jewish family in the Montreal suburb of Westmount in 1934, a year before Elvis Presley or Ronnie Hawkins, and his background - personal, social, and intellectual - couldn't have been more different from those of any rock stars of any generation; nor can he be easily compared even with any members of the generation of folksingers who came of age in the 1960s. Though he knew some country music and played it a bit as a boy, he didn't start performing on even a semi-regular basis, much less recording, until after he had already written several books - and as an established novelist and poet, his literary accomplishments far exceed those of Bob Dylan or most anyone else who one cares to mention in music, at least this side of operatic librettists such as Hugo Von Hoffmanstahl or Stefan Zweig, figures from another musical and cultural world
