WEEKEND REFLECTIONS



Polus City Center


is a shopping mall in Bratislava,
opened in November 2000.

It was the first modern

shopping mall in Slovakia...






The centre, with an area
38,500 m2,
houses a hypermarket, a cinema
complex, 139 retail shops
and several restaurants
and bars...






Part of the complex are
two high-rise office towers:
"Milenium Tower I" (80m)
and "Milenium Tower II"
(100m)

    Viera, your photos are great. I can see that these buildings could be anywhere in Europe... the uniqueness of architecture is only given by old buildings.

    Tak tentoraz je to z tvojho blízkeho okolia. Vybrala si pekné objekty a máš na nich vynikajúce reflexie. Aj u mňa by sa mali nájsť tieto budovy v archíve, dokonca "ajbiemka" aj s oblakmi :-)

      Posledné dva dni boli tak krásne oblaky, že som musela vytiahnuť fotoaparát k nákupom...Videla som aj u teba fotografie Polusu ale zdá sa mi že najviac ťa upútala tá fontána, ktoré nie je zlá... Pekný víkend a dúfam, že tie huby čoskoro nasušíš do Vianočnej kapustnice... Pekný víkend

    Funny that the modern buildings exactly looks like all the other modern buildings in cities all over the world. I would like a more regional influence so that you can have the impression that you indeed look at an other country. But thanks for showing.

    Thanks, Viera, for posting such awesome shots of the shopping mall that I really enjoyed spending some time either doing window shopping - it had nice shops - or shopping at the supermarket. I liked the indoors atmosphere, and though from outside it may look not very different from any other mall outside your country, I think it had some special feel that characterizes your lovely city....

    Práve som sa vrátila z dovolenky a chystám sa do Polusu
    Doteraz som si ani nevšimla, aký je krásny v slnečný deň.

    People must be very happy with the mall(at least most, who like fashion and shopping:) ) We only passed through what once was called Tjecho-Slowakia to Austria, but I still remember that it was a beautiful country!
    Thanks for coming by earlier, and find out next week if we walked up the anthill in Corniglia, Cinque Terre, Italy:)
