Bratislava strives to combat snow on roads again

After Paris,  this morning, also in Bratislava

 the persistent heavy snow prompted Bratislava's city hall to send out winter service

vehicles to spread grit across

the entire city ...

In the afternoon, transport situation,
in the capital got back to normal.

However, more snow is forecast
for the upcoming days.

Paris under the Snow

Paris was covered by a blanket of Snow this morning, creating scenes of a different vision of the City of Light.

The snow was still falling in the morning. The majority of public transportation was immobilized and the streets were frozen.

Paris airport screens flashed with red warnings after the French civil aviation authority ordered about 300 flights - a quarter of the day's total - canceled out of Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Fortunately not mine...

It had to happen...The cold weather I’ve had in the last two days of my stay and you won't find it surprising to hear that it snowed in Paris.

But finally I’m back in Bratislava

However Paris was beautiful

It’s a huge city that takes a lifetime to really see....

The Saturday morning

I like snow a lot; it turns the world into a fairytale place.

 Of course, not, when you get stuck in the middle of a blizzard with your car

or when you have to walk back home

because public transportation is not working, it is no fun at all.

But every time snow falls it makes me happy.

The surprise when snow falls during the night and

you wake up in the morning and know something is going on.

You don't need to go to the work...You lie in your bed and listen.

 Nothing strange, no sounds…  then you find that  the world is covered

by this beautiful white blanket.

The sounds are smothered; there is almost no traffic

and this is a little  disadvantage of snow in a city...

Cold winter's evenings

Winter evenings are so long, and we can’t wait the spring very soon.

It’s so hard to wear tons of clothes all the time, to breathe

this freezing air, etc... So, how to raise your mood and simply

feel good this cold winter evening?

Dress warm, take a woolen scarf and go to the countryside. Sitting there comfortably in front of a fireplace it’s so nice to dream together and make plans for future.
