I'll miss you

To my winsome Blog's friend...

Today I found a following post from my amiable Blog's friend:

"To all my friends: I am finding that because of the extreme demands of my job as well as family responsibilities that I may have to give up 360 altogether for now. I am finding I have little time for my own blog and little time to visit my friends blogs on 360 and I am painfully aware of this. I have to say I'm unhappy and angry about this forced choice I feel I have to make because I value all of you. I'm finding I have less and less time for things I love because of the unrealistic demands that I am constantly faced with at work especially. I hope you understand that I think the world of all of you and my decision has to do with nothing other than my inability to keep up as a loyal friend on 360 In the meantime...my heart is with all of you. Peace be with all of you my dear friends...."

I was very happy to receive your first contact message, full of beautiful flowers and lovely words. If you really will to give up 360
... I'll miss you here...

I've been missing you, more than words can say,

And that I've been thinking about it every day,

Well tonight's our night for dancing nice and slow,

Because now I've found you, I'm never letting go,

No, now I've found you, I'm never letting go;

I've been missing you... I've been missing you, darling,

I've been missing you... I've been missing you.

One Moment In Time

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Each day I live

I want to be a day to give the best of me

I'm only one, but not alone

My finest day is yet unknown

When all of my dreams

Are a heart beat away

Then in that one moment of time

I will feel, I will feel eternity

I've lived to be the very best

I want it all, no time for less

I want one moment in time

When I'm more than I thought I could be

When all of my dreams

Are a heart beat away

And the answers are all up to me

Give me one moment in time

When I'm racing with destiny

Then in that one moment of time

I will feel, I will feel eternity

Beautiful gardens with views across
the mountains and the Coast below,
surround this home of the powerful
medieval family.
It is a magnificent building;
its Moorish cloisters beckoning
from an avenue shaded
 by ancient trees.

The extensive gardens of exotic
plants and brilliantly coloured flowers
frame vistas of the water far below.

Here, each Spring a Wagnerian festival
is held at sunset;
there, suspended high
above the cerulean sea
and the coastline, the composer
is commemorated, and so too is
the inspiration he derived
from his love of Ravello.

"Ah moon of my delight that knows no wane

The moon of heaven is rising once again

How oft hereafter rising shall she look

Through this same garden after us in vain".

It is no wonder then,
that this town, with its head
in the clouds and its clear,
sunny climate, has appealed
for centuries to writers, artists,
musicians, travellers...
and dreamers!

Boccaccio, D.H. Lawrence and
Wagner are among the "greats"
who succumbed to
the spell of Ravello.

Tengo la camisa negra

Tengo la camisa negra

hoy mi amor esta de luto

Hoy tengo en el alma una pena

y es por culpa de tu embrujo

Hoy sé que tú ya no me quieres

y eso es lo que más me hiere

que tengo la camisa negra

y una pena que me duele

Have a wonderful weekend

I have a black shirt

Today my love is in mourning

Today I have a pain in my soul

And it is because of your spell

Today I know that you don't love me

And that's what hurts me most

That's why I have the black shirt

And a pain that hurts me

The sun-kissed island...Sicily

I believe that Venus the Goddess of Love was born in Sicily...It is the most fantastic of all the Mediterranean islands and I agree with  Goethe... "Without seeing Sicily it is impossible to understand Italy  - Sicily is the key to everything"...

So let's go to visit that beautiful island...

...We flew in from Vienna and arrived in Catania airport before dinner. The way to our hotel in Taormina took more as one hour. While drinking a famous Italian wine we enjoying the fabulous view of the beach by early evening...

What is more beautiful than anything else in the whole world?... The view of the sea during a stunning sunset. From the hotel balcony was a nice view of the sea panorama ...So here I'm standing in my balcony, wordless overlooking the Mediterranean Sea...

The volcano Etna is situated close to Catania, 3.320 m high, making it the tallest volcano in Europe but the view on the Mt Etna is really amazing

That day  we decided to visit the ancient Greek theatre in Taormina ...but previous to arriving at that nice city , suddenly it appeared in front of majestic Mt Etna...

The time for a lunch... we ducked into a restaurant with a fabulous view of the sea side and it was the ideal place to watch the sun set behind the mound...

The next day we decided to visit Palermo and Monreale. On our way to Monreale I repeated also the big test of my driving license. How they drive it's unique... one car on the left side.. one car on the right side and between some motorbike ... awful , but I'm alive...

The splendid cloister of the Benedictine abbey alone would make Monreale famous. Located next to the cathedral, these 228 columns, some with mosaic inlay, each with a meticulously stone carved capital, enclose the gardens of the cloister.

Monreale is world-renowned for
his cathedral of the 12th century

The central apse of the Cathedral, with the huge figure of Christ Pantocrator. The beautiful mosaics are said to be one of the world's largest displays of this art, surpassed only by Istanbul's famous Basilica of Saint Sofia

Palermo was the wealthiest and most magnificent city in Europe in the 12th century.

I like many of the most charming villages in Italy, sits atop a hill (originally chosen in medieval times for their defensive value). It makes for a very attractive town

Syracusa's medieval heeritage musn't be overlocked.
Everywhere we went in Syracuse,
we were surrounded by fascinating, ancient ruins...

Syracuse has a Greek amphitheatre and also a Roman one, both well preserved.

Archimedes was born also in that nice ancient city Syracuse

287BC - 212BC

...and God created Sicily. The place where the mountains meet the sea. Sicily, the island in the sun, is home to Heavenly beaches, majestic mountains and Europe's greatest natural wonder Mount Etna. Probably the single best attribute of Sicily is that it manages to be fascinating place while hardly trying to do so. It all simply seems to exist and its up to you to join in and enjoy it...

I fell absolutely in love with that island and his architecture

Let's go to dream about that beautiful island ....

My hometown 12

...Leaving the Roland's  statue in the Old Town and just up the street is another statue Čumil (gawk), the man sticking his head out of a manhole.

"And a couple years ago, the Wall Street Journal did a story on Bratislava in which the writer said that he'd been told that Čumil was the leader of an underground movement and that he hid in the sewers while the city was bombed during World War II. When the war ended, Čumil came out of hiding, which explains his satisfied smile.

"But the story may not be exactly true. In fact, guides tell sightseers: "Čumil is just a normal guy who likes to look up the skirts of young ladies in Bratislava"...¦

Čumil is probably the most photographed sight in Bratislava.

Beautiful dawn - lights up the shore for me.
There is nothing else in the world,
I'd rather wake up and see (with you).
Beautiful dawn - I'm just chasing time again.
Thought I would die a lonely man, in endless night.
But now I'm high; running wild among all the stars above.
Sometimes it's hard to believe you remember me.
Beautiful dawn - melt with the stars again.
Do you remember the day when my journey began?
Will you remember the end (of time)?
Beautiful dawn - You're just blowing my mind again.
Thought I was born to endless night, until you shine.
High; running wild among all the stars above.
Sometimes it's hard to believe you remember me.
Will you be my shoulder when I'm grey and older?
Promise me tomorrow starts with you,
Getting high; running wild among all the stars above.
Sometimes it's hard to believe you remember me

Palmyra is from Greek, and means "city of palm trees". The original pre- Semitic name was Tadmur, which is still used as the local Arabic name.

ImageAccording to tradition, Palmyra was founded by Solomon
but the town is mentioned in sources 9 centuries older.

ImageThe total area of today's ruins is impressive, giving a fair indication of the size of the original city. The network of main streets are still there, with the 1,2 km long main colonnaded street running from west to east, ending in the Temple of Bel.

Immediately to the south of this street lies the Senate, the Agora and the theatre. The latter still stands in almost full glory. The architecture is predominantly Corinthian, but there are clear influences from Mesopotamia and Persia. To the southwest lies a fascinating area of tower and underground tombs. Most of the tower tombs dates back to the pre-Roman period, while the underground tombs were in use until 251 CE.

Let's go Ismeralda to speak about your country  ..."and please add my  favourite song  مأثر فيه – حصري  - this song is really touch my heart indeed"...

The empress of Rome was from Homs as you mentioned. Her name was Julia Donna. She was intelligent lady. Septem Sepher fell in love with her and married her.

He married her before he became the emperor.

Then her sister Julia Meeza, and her nephews Julia Somea and Julia Mamah became all the empress of Rom (of course one by one) till 235. They rule Rom and the world at that time.

Homs is called the city of the black stones because all its ground was made from black stones at that time and till now there are some black stones streets.

Also, there is a special thing related only to Homs and Homeian people all over Syria which is funny and people use it as a joke. It is said that every Wednesday Homsian people became crazy and do very funny things or even stupid. Of course that wasn't come from nothing there is a story about this. I will tell you it in brief. It was said that years ago there was a cruel leader wanted to invade Homs (he was invaded the cities of Syria one by one) then when the Homsi people heard that he will come to Homs with his soldiers. Homsi people decided not to fight him and meet him

Then some of Homsi people held their shoes in their hands and started to clap the other held pots and made a huge noise , after that when that leader saw that view he said to his soldiers" what I will do with these cra " what I will do with these crazy people it is better to move to another city".

That event was on Wednesday. All Homsi people are known of their humour spirit and intelligence and all jokes about Homsi in Syria...

is a very old city of Syria, the hill over looking the city was found to be inhabited since 2300 B.C. Homs became important during the roman empire. Two of its natives became empirors. The city today, is the 3rd largest city in Syria. it is a big Agricultural, industrial, and commercial center.
The historical sights in Homs today are few. However Homs is known for its nice people, and warm culture. Homs is surrounded by a beutiful country side filled with things to see. The nature also is breath taking. the midetarranian is only 50 minutes away to the west, and Palmyera is only 90 minuits to the east.

One of my friends live in Homs and she is studying at the university translation Arabic/English.

Let's read some her consideration about the life.... surely with  Ismeralda's favourite  song:

When I was child I did not recognise the real meaning of life. I did not know what was waiting for me. I did not care about anything. Maybe the most important thing for me was watching my cartoon series , did my homework , played with my relatives or my friends or even sleeping between my dad and mum then they were telling me stories and singing a nice songs. I was so innocent girl, so simple and happy.

I had very funny ideas when I remember how I was thinking when I was child, and how I think now... I tend to cry because life is really hard and my thoughts was really simple and nice but I cannot applied it in this hard life. Suddenly, I found myself grow and grow and knew many new things about this life. I don't know if I'm really happy or not. Sometimes I feel as if I'm walking on air or totally over the moon then I realise that behind this wonderful feelings there is something sad something I do not know what it is.

Oh my God ! When I was child I thought that it is impossible for anyone to lie or to do anything bad. I trusted all people whom I met. I believed all things that I heard .....but yes ... It was a childish thoughts ... Just a childish thoughts and nothing else... because life isn't going on like that especially nowadays world .....war... , bloodshed.., death.., poverty,....

I was still thinking like that till I became 17 or maybe 18 I didn't remember exactly. At that time, I became a university student. I met a wonderful people one of them was my professor who passed away for about 8 months ago. By the way, it was my first shock in my life which was very painful. He changed completely my way of thinking and helped me to decide what my aim is, and how to be a useful person. He was my example. Also my new university friends...., you cannot imagine how I feel happy when I meet them and talk with them I have many, many friends. I should always thank Allah for this beautiful gift.

Oh , life is really hard ,although it is sweet. Maybe I'm too young (20yeard old) to think in this way but our hard life force us to think as if we are older than our real age - do you agree with me ...

Moreover, the BBC message board added many nice things to me. It gives me an opportunity to talk with people all over the world. I've talked about many things with many people. We should always forget our sorrows because life is going on and it is not waiting for anyone. We should do our best to be strong and face this life with strength confidence and of course love. With my best wishes for a happy life for ALL...
