Obama received an unusual welcome by both Czech President Vaclav Klaus and outgoing Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek at the Prague airport.

Instead of dining with the hosts, Obama choosed to go for a romantic dinner with his wife Michelle in Prague, one of the most beautiful cities, on Saturday night.
Czech media reported that it was originally planned as a state visit with a gala dinner hosted by Klaus and followed later perhaps by a quick beer or two in one of Prague's famous pubs with Topolanek.

Today in the morning, he meets President Klaus and his wife.

After 10 a.m., will President Obama speak on the Hradčany Square. Up to 30,000 people are expected to attend Obama's address in the Hradcanske namesti square near the medieval Prague Castle.

  3. He is representing America's diversity very well. If we celebrate that as a strength, and if he conducts his office as he did his campaign to the White House, then the world will be better for it.

  11. Great coverage of the visit. Have a question = was it considered an insult for them to go alone to dine out in Prague? Ussually our new President handles things smoothly, compared to that last rascal! I love blogs like this, that updae all of us, on what happens in your area of the world! Thank you, good looking. 12. Obama desided to join his wife Michelle for dinner in Prague, rather than take part in a formal meeting...he's then expected to have a "privat program" Saturday...no wonder about it ...
