PICTURE PERFECT - CURVES





The city of Bath


Bath is one of the world's great cities - its status as a World Heritage Site with places like Florence and Salzburg confirms that it's amongst the very best. To echo the words of the travel guides, it's a 'must see' destination, an essential place to visit, and as you'll soon discover it more than lives up to expectations

Pulteney Bridge
is a rarity bridge that crosses the River Avon, in Bath, England, and completed in 1773. It was designed by Robert Adam and is one of only four bridges in the world with shops across the full span on both sides. Shops on the bridge include a flower shop, antique map shop, and juice bar

    Holy omigod I have stood in that spot and taken that same angle... although nowhere near as nicely...and it was a million years ago when I was a teenager with a disk camera. Whatta dinosaur!

    Simply gorgeous, Viera. I love the architecture of Europe...it just has so much character and history in the design. The curves are beautiful as well...from the large arcs in the water to the smaller ripples which mirror the archway above it. This is postcard quality and would make a terrific puzzle, too.

    Ah...takes me back.............I lived in Bath for 20 years (1976 to 1996). Before they built the weir you see in front of Pulteney Bridge (which was inspired by the Ponte Vecchio in Florence) Bath was prone to flooding when the River Avon rose past a certain level.
