WHO KNOWS?

A pain  -  I do not mean a physical pain as a fall from a bicycle, or from  roller skates or tripping over  the corner of the bed. I'm talking about the pain, the shooting pain inside which brings tears to the eyes and grips the heart. Pain for which there is no pill or ointment to cure.  I'm talking about the pain which others cause us, or the pain which we cause to others and for which we cannot find an excuse.
°
How can we avoid the pain which churns our conscience?
°
Pain as if a careless surgeon’s scalpel has carved into our souls. Pain which others can’t see, but nonethaless is like a disease in our inside.
°
Some say that such pain is good for us, because it leads us further and helps us overcome our weaknesses and we could build a stronger self.
°
Friedrich Nietzsche once said: "What does not kill you, it will make you stronger."
°
Is this really true?
°
Others say that the pain could overcome you. Rob you of the joy to which you have a right. What a life is it if you cannot rejoice in it and be glad  each day, and if someone deprives you of that joy you have to defend yourself - strike, if necessary, before you are hurt by them.

But I don’t want that this power to kill a part of me, by someone who may reach out a hand to me for asking for help.
°
"Even though – sometimes for me nobody helped at critical times.  I've had to overcome the difficulty by myself."

What is the right way to bring peace to my soul?
 Who knows?

  1. I believe everyone has the right for peace to the inner being. The pain your talking about is so cruel. I wish I could answer you, but unfortunately I can't. As I in a way look for that peace.

  2. Dear Viera, I can understand your problems.
Anyway, being scared of getting hurt is normal.

But believe me, there's always a way to laugh and
love again even when you think you can't move on.

Bring your own thoughts to yourself be positive and
even laughter connects you with others

  3. We all have had or still have our pains... Obstacles, barriers we always face now an then... the more we overcome, stronger we become and with the strength achieved we can make the most of the joys that are brought to us...

  4. Dear Matilda, I know that the path to inner peace is not simple or short. You cannot just wake up one day and decide you are going to have inner peace from that point forward. It is a process, a journey that needs to be appreciated every step of the way...and I have to learn it too...

    Thank you for your thoughts...

  5. I know, this won’t happen in a day, but I'll keep working on myself.
Any time I catch myself wondering what someone says or thinks about me , I'll just make a point to change my mind to something else, to be free from the opinions of others....Thank you dear Regina...

  6. Yes dear Belita, everyone has a certain amount of emotional baggage they carry with them everywhere. The idea of finding inner peace is to offload this baggage so you can feel light, healthy, vibrant, free and maybe one day even enlightened...But it is not easy ...I still cary my baggage with me...:-)

  11. Some pain is harder to deal with than other kinds, either because of its nature, intensity, or the lack of available recourse. While pain, like pleasure can guide us in life, you are right that it can disable us, too; sometimes lingering long after any good can come from it. All pain is in the mind, of course, and sometimes our mind does not even allow us to feel it while we still need to act. People can arrive in hospitals with serious trauma but feel nothing until their need to act urgently recedes. And people can experience pain long after trauma has healed. This latter phenomenon is what we really need to address because it can last for years. In such cases it might help to help our mind to see that the threat is no longer there. That the event is in the past. That it can and should move on. It's not always possible, though. Sometimes we have to settle for small steps, just getting through the day one small step and task after another until, in time, the mind is at peace again. People can help I think. And books and music with a sympathetic mood but hopeful sentiment. So take care of yourself, Viera, we may be our best nurse in these things.

  12. Dear Viera, my english is not good....but, I want to tell you something.......
Life is this, what we have everyday, with steppy stones and with sunny days............you are right ,pain, make us stronger. I am 63 years old ....living with lough, joy, pain, sorrows..... but at the end you turn your head to the past and see what a woman of strenght you are. Capable to cope with all that life had bring to you through the years.
Time take away the pain, in the moment you think is destroying you, bad times...bring big joys too.........just wait.
People is not bad, sometimes are wrong, and don't have time to see the being.......they just live......
    selfish may be..but not bad.
Think you are very young. your life is just starting......start from the light, don't keep in your heart this pain for longer........see the wonder in every day........
Much love , sorry my dear, I need better english.
    hugsssss.ivonne

  14. Thank you very much for visiting Mark and sharing your thoughts...I started to read your book "Under the sun" and I like it very much...Also there I could find the answer to my question :

"By all means think positively, though,
as experiments have shown that you'll be more likely
to succeed in life, anyway, because you'll be more
open to the opportunities around you. I've got to work
    more on that myself.

And, finally, don’t forget to think positively and to
    stay in touch…"

Yes I agree with you and I promise - I will not forget to think positively...

    Keep in touch

  15. You are most welcome Ivonne. Your visits here make me very happy... and don't worry, your English is very good... and dear Ivonne I'm not very young...because this small child by the lake which looks like a doll is my granddaughter...

"The time take away the pain"...yes I agree...

The time old saying “Mind your own business” is based in wisdom. In the fact we can only change ourselves and it is not for us to judge the way anyone else lives their lives...any judgment we make is actually really related to ourselves anyway.

Therefore we don’t have to waste precious time or energy on what others are doing with their lives, and learn not to take anything personally...

I'll try to see the wonder in every day...

Much love and a big hugs dear Ivonne...

  22. My dearv uncle... in our life people may have different ways of letting me know that they care about me. One person may give me a big hug whereas another person might gently tease me. A big clue that someone cares is that they talk to me fairly often and, in general, know what's going on in my life and act interested about it...thank you very much...
